Search help
Use the search field to enter keywords in English describing the photograph you wish to find. It is also possible to search according to the photograph number (for example pd_100138) or the place where the picture was taken, ie. Thailand.
Searches are not case sensitive. All letters, regardless of how you type them, will be understood as lower case. Results are displayed according to their relevance.
Keywords combining
If you wish obtain more accurate or specific results, you can combine keywords by using operators such as: AND, OR or NOT.
- For example, by using OR, your search will return all results containing at least one of the keywords. A search of (tree OR snow) will show results for all photos containing tree or snow.
- By using the AND operator, you get all the photographs containing all the keywords. Tree AND snow will return only those pictures containing tree and snow. (tree AND snow)
- In order to find exact phrases, use "quotation marks" and only words in these particular order will be found. Example ("healthy food")
- If you want to exclude certain words from being searched, then use NOT before them. For example, tree NOT snow will show results for only pictures that contain tree, but not for those containing snow.
- By using an asterisk you can conduct a wild search to get more versions of the keyword, for example snow* will show results for snowing, snowed, snow, etc.
